Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Program Manager, Community Development. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing risk reduction services, managing provincial budgets, and delivering workshops and trainings to internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk reduction services, including assessments, learning activities, and monitoring.
  • Manage provincial budgets and reporting requirements for Indigenous risk reduction programming.
  • Procure and position inventory/supplies for workshop/training delivery.
  • Deliver workshops, trainings, and presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Compile and prepare program progress reports, analyze results, and advise on problem areas.
  • Evaluate and monitor program/service statistics and prepare reports.
  • Manage volunteer engagement and training opportunities.

Requirements:

  • University degree/diploma in Social Work, Education, or related field.
  • Strong understanding and experience of supervising staff.
  • Fluency in English, Indigenous language an asset.
  • Experience working with diverse community populations.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing positive external relationships and working with Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
  • Sound understanding of Indigenous realities, experiences, and knowledge of Indigenous culture, traditions, and protocols.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work arrangement, including remote and in-office work.
  • Travel to areas of Manitoba expected in all seasons.
  • Work may be affected by disasters or emergencies.
  • Non-traditional hours, overtime, and on-call work may be required.
