About the Role

Fresh Prep is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of 15-20 associates and ensuring the smooth operation of our production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 15-20 associates and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure efficient production and minimize delays
  • Enter data accurately and efficiently, including work orders and yield inputs
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and place transfer orders as needed
  • Train and coach team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles
  • Recommend process improvements to help meet team KPIs
  • Work closely with QA to ensure ingredient quality and reject any substandard products
  • Maintain a clean and organized production area, including the autobagger machines and blixer
  • Ensure FIFO is maintained and assign tasks accordingly
  • Flag any potential delays to the Prep Supervisor and ensure associates are wearing proper PPE
  • Communicate with the warehouse team to ensure availability of ingredients and assign tasks accordingly

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in food prep, restaurant, warehouse, or busy retail environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with strict deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (0-10°C)
  • Extremely proficient at multitasking
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous
  • Able to stand on feet for 8-hour shifts
  • Ability to lift, push, pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kgs)
  • Punctual attendance is essential
