About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Film Editor to join our team at Acre Post Production. As a key member of our post-production team, you will be responsible for bringing our clients' visions to life through expert editing and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visual Storytelling: Collaborate with directors and producers to interpret and deliver the artistic vision of a project.
  • Sequence Management: Arrange film segments into cohesive sequences to achieve continuity and desired effects.
  • Production Scheduling: Determine the scheduling of production to meet project deadlines.
  • Editorial Direction: Edit motion picture film based on the director's vision, ensuring that all elements align with the project's original intention.
  • Project Management: Monitor the project's success after release and make adjustments as needed.
  • Artistic Direction: Plan, organize, and direct the artistic aspects of production, including determining lighting, lenses, camera angles, and backgrounds.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in film editing.
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Setting: Video production.
  • Work Conditions: Work under pressure, tight deadlines, and attention to detail.
  • Workplace Information: Hybrid work environment.
