Labour Relations Specialist

GardaWorld is seeking a skilled Labour Relations Advisor to ensure consistent application of the company's labour relations policies and practices. The successful candidate will support the operational team in disciplinary and union-management matters.
Key Responsibilities- Labour Relations Advice: Provide guidance to employees, management, and operations on a wide range of labour and employee relations issues, including performance management, discipline, investigations, legal, and interpersonal issues.
- Grievance Management: Coordinate grievance management at all stages to minimize organizational and financial costs and develop good labour-management relations.
- Labour Relations Analysis: Analyze general labour relations issues and trends, such as systemic problems, policy, and process concerns, and recommend optimization strategies.
- Local Labour-Management Meetings: Participate in various local labour-management meetings, including professional relations committees.
- Experience: At least 1 to 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Education: Post-secondary education in human resources or labour relations, or equivalent work experience.
- Work Experience: Experience working in a federal jurisdiction is ideal.
- Collective Agreement Management: Work experience and/or basic knowledge of collective agreement management.
- Disciplinary Investigations: Experience in disciplinary investigations and the implementation of corrective measures (e.g. disciplinary actions).
