Job Summary

Mirmil Products is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Millwork Finisher to join our team in Campbellford, ON. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for applying the final finishes and coatings to high-end custom millwork projects, including cabinetry, doors, moldings, panels, and other architectural elements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure a Safe and Organized Work Environment: Create, monitor, and maintain a well-kept, organized, and safe working environment while promoting, complying with, and enforcing adherence to health and safety rules, regulations, procedures, and policies.
  2. Apply Finishes with Precision: Select and apply appropriate stains, sealers, paints, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishes based on project requirements, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  3. Wood Species Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of different wood species and their unique characteristics, ensuring the appropriate application of finishes to achieve desired results.
  4. Quality Control: Evaluate finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards, making any necessary touch-ups or adjustments as required.
  5. Process Improvement: Develop and implement standard procedures for common finishing techniques, and work with the Production Manager to determine achievable schedules and allocation of human resources.
  6. Training and Development: Develop and implement training procedures for new employees in the department, and keep up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and materials related to architectural millwork finishing.
  7. Inventory Management: Ensure sufficient inventory and select correct product as per work orders.
  8. Operational Excellence: Ensure and constantly improve the safety, morale, quality, and profitability of our operations through the ongoing implementation of effective methods and strategies.
  9. Company Policies: Communicate and uphold company policies and procedures.
  10. Attention to Detail: Maintain exceptional attention to detail and consistency in finishes across multiple projects.
  11. Experience and Qualifications: Extensive experience as a Senior Architectural Millwork Finisher, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality finishes on custom millwork projects, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  12. Project Experience: Demonstrated experience working on high-end custom millwork projects, such as cabinetry, paneling, doors, and trim, and experience with automated finishing equipment would be considered an asset.
  13. Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous work and projects will be highly advantageous.

Working Conditions: All applicable areas within the millwork facility.
