Pharmacy Technician Job Description

Mint Health + Drugs is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of prescriptions
  • Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions
  • Confirm the accuracy of pharmaceutical products prepared for delivery
  • Accept verbal prescriptions from prescribing authorities
  • Prepare and verify medication orders for distribution to homes
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support in the front-store dispensary
  • Conduct medication reconciliation for new admissions and readmissions to Long Term Care
  • Verify data for prescriptions entered by other pharmacy staff
  • Check cycle fills for technical accuracy
  • Work with electronic medication administration platforms and pharmacy automation software
Requirements:
  • Registered as a pharmacy technician is mandatory
  • Extensive experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Completion of a recognized pharmacy technician program
  • Three years of proven experience in pharmacy technician roles
