About the Role

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Duty Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our airport, 24/7.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage airport-wide operations, including airside, air passenger terminal, groundside operations, and cargo/freight operations.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to ensure efficient and safe airport operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including airlines, ground handlers, and government agencies, to ensure seamless airport operations.
  • Monitor and respond to operational disruptions, including weather events and security incidents.
  • Lead and manage a team of operations staff to ensure effective and efficient airport operations.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Aviation Management, Business Management, or Logistics.
  • 8 years' experience in an airport environment or similar, with demonstrated experience in serving a large and complex customer base.
  • 8 years' leadership experience with people management experience, preferable in a matrix organization, with exposure to various operational functions.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer-centric environment.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a D AVOP within ninety (90) days of commencing the position.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.
