About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Claims Adjuster to join our Customer Response - Property team at Aviva. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling commercial property claims, providing exceptional customer service, and working closely with our vendors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claim Handling: Investigate and negotiate commercial property claims in accordance with Aviva's claim procedures and guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Provide prompt and exemplary customer service, advising and counseling customers on claim status and ensuring all correspondence is completed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Vendor Management: Work with premiere property vendors to quantify claims and apply cost-saving guidelines without compromising customer service.
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure data accuracy and the issuance of payments to vendors, insureds, and experts.
  • Analysis and Negotiation: Review and compile facts, policy, and technical reports, analyze estimates, and negotiate/settle claims accordingly.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to meet performance expectations and contribute to team success.
Requirements
  • Education: University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent Property Claims Experience.
  • Designations: CIP or FCIP and other industry designations preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of previous claims experience, with a minimum of 3 years handling first-party commercial claims.
  • Skills: High level of comfort dealing directly with key commercial clients and brokers, computer proficiency, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
