Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and sales-driven individual to fill a Parts Sales Professional (Outside Sales) position at Maxim Truck and Trailer. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling heavy-duty truck and trailer parts to new and existing customers in Brandon and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly follow up with customers to determine changing needs and promote new and existing products to meet those needs.
  • Source parts and quote prices.
  • Prospect customers to produce new business, act on referrals, and make cold calls while providing exceptional customer service to existing customers.
  • Provide related services, including relieving/working on parts counter staff, answering inquiries during and after hours, and picking and delivering parts as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a parts order desk role or equivalent truck/trailer parts knowledge.
  • Prior outside sales experience or experience with the potential customer base.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Sales and customer service focus.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with people at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and listening skills.
  • Ability to set and meet priorities and long-term goals.
  • Ability and willingness to complete ongoing sales training.
  • Assertiveness, persuasiveness, and initiative.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills with MS Word/Excel, email, and internet.
  • Knowledge of Karmak business system an asset.
