Site Manager for Large-Scale Energy Project

Job Description:

Ameresco, a leading cleantech integrator and renewable energy asset developer, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its Construction Team.

About the Role:

We are currently working on a 250 MW Battery Energy Storage System project in Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate will provide leadership, planning, and construction management expertise for the scheduling, execution, and successful delivery of this large-scale project.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Construction Manager in providing onsite leadership for subcontractor workforce
  • Manage day-to-day operations of a construction site
  • Inspect work progress regularly to ensure all aspects of the project are on track and submit reports to document progress
  • Evaluate and monitor quality and progress of work, identifying and resolving any deficiencies or deviations
  • Direct subcontractor activity to achieve production goals
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of trades and scopes of work to ensure correct means and methods of construction are used
  • Ensure job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • 5 years' previous experience as a construction superintendent or similar role in commercial or government construction
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basics of Supervision (IHSA or equivalent) training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge/background in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection layout and construction practices
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to complete the project
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractor field operations
  • Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, ProCore, and construction industry Project Management Information System
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
