Job Title: Senior Healthcare Architect

About the Role:

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Healthcare Architect to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division, you will work on a variety of healthcare projects in BC, Canada, and the USA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple project teams consisting of architects, job captains, and intern architects.
  • Review drawings and specifications for quality control and mentor staff in applicable building codes and construction details.
  • Work individually or as part of a larger team to complete feasibility studies, development permit applications, building permit applications, and contract documents for tender.
  • Meet with clients and represent the firm at various working groups and lead presentations.
  • Oversee the contract administration phase of the work and administer the construction contract on behalf of the client.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in the architectural field.
  • Licensed Architect.
  • Knowledge and application of applicable building codes.
  • Detailed understanding of all phases of project delivery and delivery models such as Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, and Construction Management.
  • Advanced Revit skills are a benefit.
  • Excellent communication skills are a requirement.
  • Proposal writing is a plus.
