About the RoleThe Strategic Initiatives and Innovations Lead will work closely with the Director, Provincial Language Service, to plan, implement, and evaluate strategic initiatives and innovations that support language access and equity. This role will involve leading projects, proposing new initiatives, and contributing to the development, integration, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that support language access and equity.
Key Responsibilities- Lead strategic initiatives and innovations tied directly to PLS's strategic priorities
- Assist with identified projects and propose new initiatives
- Contribute to the development, integration, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that support language access and equity
- Research and implement innovative tools and technologies to assist with language access and delivery for language communities
- Provide leadership and expertise on a range of projects of varying size and scope related to strategic priorities
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in strategic systems and large-scale change work in equity and access related fields. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of recent related experience and a Bachelor's degree in Health Administration or an applicable health discipline.
The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of Indigenous cultural safety and humility within health services contexts and have completed training in Indigenous cultural safety and trauma-informed practice. They will also have demonstrated extensive knowledge of Canadian colonial impacts on Indigenous people in social and health contexts, supported by significant knowledge of Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
