Nurse Care Specialist

The Nurse Care Specialist at Southern Health-Santé Sud plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. The incumbent will utilize their nursing expertise to assess, plan, and implement care plans for patients, ensuring seamless transitions across healthcare settings.
This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. The Nurse Care Specialist must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of professional standards and codes of ethics, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the cultural diversity of our region.
Key qualifications for this role include current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba, proficiency in both official languages, and possession of current certifications in Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a strong commitment to ongoing education and professional growth, as well as the ability to lead and make decisions autonomously.
Requirements for this position include a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in both official languages
- Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale certification
- Trauma Nursing Care Course certification
- Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
