Medical Oncology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncology Hospitalist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. As a key member of our hospital's cancer care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes.
About the Role:
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be a board-certified medical oncologist with expertise in delivering evidence-based cancer treatment and management. You will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of individuals living with cancer.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their loved ones, while also contributing to the growth and development of our cancer program.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary range based on experience, starting at $200.10 per hour, plus additional incentives including MOCAP level 2. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate medical oncologist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide expert medical oncology care to patients with various types of cancer, including breast, lung, colon, and others.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including radiation oncologists, surgeons, and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical oncology through ongoing education and professional development.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Board certification in medical oncology or a related field.
- Current registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
