About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Specialist or Financial Strategist to join our growing Private Placements team, Stratégies Financières Distribution (SFD).

Context

Given that the majority of ICF's subscribed premiums are distributed through brokerage in Canada, one of ICF's objectives is to ensure the sustainability of its distribution network. To achieve this, the SFD team provides financial support to several distributors of various sizes through loans and equity investments, in addition to supporting succession planning and ensuring healthy governance of its investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in financial analysis, business proposals, and deliver tailored financial solutions that balance Intact's strategic business objectives and those of its partners.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with Intact's partners, including those established or to be established through SFD.
  • Work closely with these partners in their budgeting process and capital utilization planning.
  • Complete, present, and track performance dashboards showcasing the operational performance of these partners and their alignment with their strategic planning.
  • Collect, review, and analyze information to support business development initiatives and propose recommendations.
  • Support brokers and agents in determining their strategic, financial, and operational objectives, focusing on performance, growth, and profitability indicators.
  • Support team members in executing special projects and their regular responsibilities.
What You'll Accomplish
  • Execute and advance financial transactions for SFD, including valuing distribution insurance companies, modeling financial agreements, drafting relevant transactional memos to obtain necessary approvals, and tracking the drafting of relevant legal documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of business growth strategies and the implementation of financial solutions that support these strategies.
