About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director to join our team at Roynat Capital, a subsidiary of Scotiabank. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with mid-sized businesses across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver creative financing and capital solutions to clients
  • Conduct credit analysis and underwriting to ensure sound lending decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis and business development, preferably in a financial services environment
  • Advanced knowledge of the Canadian commercial banking marketplace and credit underwriting principles
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct credit analysis and make sound lending decisions
