We're seeking a skilled Level Designer to join our Haven Entertainment Studios project team at Sony PlayStation. As a Level Designer, you'll be responsible for crafting exceptional experiences for players and supporting the overall design vision for the game.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, build, and iterate on game levels efficiently, leveraging game features and mechanics.
- Implement your level through every stage of production, from design document to final polished product.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams of artists, game designers, gameplay programmers, and sound designers to ensure the design vision is realized.
- Assess gameplay, navigation, and flow to ensure a memorable player experience is achieved following the game direction.
- Identify and address potential risks, dependencies, and constraints related to level design.
- Continuously use feedback and data to maintain and drive the development of level content.
- Proactively communicate with different stakeholders and be mindful of dependencies that might create blockers or challenges to resolve design challenges.
- Shipped at least one AAA console title.
- Strong interest in Multiplayer/Live Service games.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to review and assess levels against design criteria.
- At ease communicating design ideas and concepts clearly across all disciplines.
- Adjust according to priorities, displaying flexibility and adaptability through the many stages of production.
- A good awareness of the flow and pacing of a game.
- Knowledge of Unreal level editing tools and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools.
