Qualifications and Requirements

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor degree in Dietetics from a recognized university and be registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the nutritional needs of patients with chronic disease and provide adult education.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of chronic disease management and nutritional care.
  • Facilitate and build effective relationships with physicians, other disciplines, and community partners.
  • Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to prioritize and organize workload.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of community resources and primary health care principles.
