Qualifications and Requirements

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our Integrated Health Network. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor degree in Dietetics from a recognized university and be registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the nutritional needs of patients with chronic disease, providing adult education and support.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and community partners.
  • Utilize knowledge of community resources and primary health care principles to provide comprehensive care.
  • Facilitate and mediate conflict resolution skills and techniques to ensure effective patient care.
  • Prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Two years recent experience in a related field, with a focus on chronic disease management and nutrition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to travel and use a personal vehicle, with a valid BC driver's license.
