Job Title: Cardiac Technologist
Job Summary:
The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Cardiac Technologist to join our team. As a Cardiac Technologist, you will be responsible for performing various cardiac tests and procedures, including electrocardiograms, stress testing, and gas analysis. You will work collaboratively with physicians to provide patient intake medical assessments and collect and document patient information in the electronic patient record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac testing procedures, including ECGs, stress testing, and gas analysis
- Work collaboratively with physicians to provide patient intake medical assessments
- Collect and document patient information in the electronic patient record
- Analyze tests to create summarized preliminary reports for physicians
- Ensure emergency equipment is ready for use at all times
- Work in alignment with best practices, related policies, and health and safety legislation
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Cardiology program recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT)
- Certification with CSCT, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to interpret ECGs, identifying cardiac arrhythmias, and electrocardiographic signs of myocardial ischemia/infarction on ECGs
- Current BCLS certificate
- 2 years of related experience, preferred
