Job Summary
The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Cardiac Technologist to join our team. As a Cardiac Technologist, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiograms, stress testing, and other cardiac assessments to help diagnose and manage cardiovascular conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrocardiograms, stress testing, and other cardiac assessments to help diagnose and manage cardiovascular conditions
- Work collaboratively with physicians to provide patient care and education
- Collect and document patient information in the electronic patient record (Epic) efficiently and accurately
- Analyze tests to create summarized preliminary reports for physicians
- Confirm all quality control assessments as required
Requirements
- Graduate of a Cardiology program recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT)
- Certification with CSCT, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to interpret ECGs, identifying cardiac arrhythmias, and electrocardiographic signs of myocardial ischemia/infarction on ECGs
- Current BCLS certificate
- 2 years of related experience, preferred
