Senior Financial Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Planner to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Senior Financial Planner, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional financial planning experiences to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive financial plans with varying levels of complexity, working closely with regional advisors to ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct thorough analysis of client data, create tailored financial planning proposals, and provide expert advice to meet client goals.
- Collaborate with the regional advisor to efficiently gather client data, ensuring timely and accurate financial planning.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to build solutions into the planning output, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
- Provide high-quality planning documents to the regional advisor for further customization and presentation to clients.
- Participate in tracking opportunities derived from financial planning work, identifying trends, and supporting the implementation of solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory requirements, and best practices in financial planning, ensuring compliance with governing regulations and internal policies.
- Embody a customer-focused culture, deepening client relationships, and leveraging broader Scotiabank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Contribute to a high-performance environment, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work culture.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a financial planner and/or client-facing advisor.
- Degree in business, commerce, or financial planning.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or equivalent IQPF designation for Quebec residents.
- Demonstrated comprehensive financial planning experience in a current or previous role.
- Life License (LLQP) for provinces other than Quebec; or title financial security advisor from Quebec or willingness to complete.
