Executive Chef for Indian Bistro

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Tamarind Indian Bistro. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious Indian dishes for our customers.
About the Role- We are looking for someone with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- You will be responsible for maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Your duties will include supervising kitchen staff and helpers, training new employees, and ensuring that our kitchen is clean and organized.
- Cooking and Menu Planning: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, taking into account dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ordering as needed to ensure efficient operations.
- Kitchen Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance on preparation, cooking, and handling procedures.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure that the kitchen and work areas are clean and well-organized, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Proficiency in English is essential.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
- A competitive salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per annum.
