About the Role

As a Biomedical Engineer with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be responsible for providing consultation and involvement in device maintenance, patient safety, education, procurement, budgeting, planning, projects, and design related to medical technology. Your approach should guide efforts to align Biomedical Engineering and Programs as a single corporate entity, applying best practices and knowledge from available resources to address medical technology issues at the point of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

* Consult with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-level consultation and involvement in device maintenance, patient safety, education, procurement, budgeting, planning, projects, and design related to medical technology
* Collaborate with colleagues to optimize patient care through the effective use of medical technology
* Develop and implement strategies to improve device maintenance, patient safety, and education related to medical technology
* Provide technical expertise to support the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medical technology
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to address medical technology issues

Salary: $85,000-$110,000 per year
