Job Title: Assistant Professor Position in Biomedical Engineering

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Biomedical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and run a world-class research program in the development of foundational technologies that impact aging in one or more of the following areas: human interfacing devices and sensors, biomechanics, intelligent assistive technologies, robotics, or imaging, and their applications in aging and/or rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and run a world-class research program in biomedical engineering
* Participate in teaching activities of the School of Biomedical Engineering
* Provide mentorship and training to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate learners
* Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives for the School and the Faculty

Requirements:

* PhD or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering or a related field
* Registration or eligibility to register with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC)
* Demonstrated evidence of ability in teaching and scholarly activity
* Ability to effectively communicate and interact with diverse and divergent perspectives
