The Senior Auditor is a critical role within Citi's Internal Audit team, responsible for conducting moderately complex audits and assessments of the company's risk and control environments. This position requires a high level of subject matter expertise and the ability to contribute to the development of new techniques and processes for the area or function.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct moderately complex audits, including drafting audit reports and presenting issues to the business.
- Develop and implement effective audit processes improvements, including the development of automated routines.
- Apply internal audit standards, policies, and regulations to provide timely audit assurance and influence audit scope.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure a deep understanding of the company's operations.
- Monitor, assess, and recommend solutions to emerging risks.
- Contribute to the development of audit processes improvements, including the development of automated routines.
- Act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
- Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy in decision-making.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in audit or a related field.
- Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Subject matter expertise regarding audit technology's application.
- Effective project management skills.
- Effective influencing and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
This role requires a high level of expertise and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of audit principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
