We are seeking a skilled Financial Risk Management Analyst to join our growing team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our business objectives.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about risk management and analysis. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of commercial loan applications
  • Analyzing and approving loan requests based on your authority and established procedures
  • Preparing documentation and making recommendations for important projects
  • Reviewing annual financial statements, conducting risk assessments, and updating loan files to establish credit limits
  • Maintaining relationships with brokers and clients, consolidating business connections, and participating in industry events related to commercial lending
  • Communicating and negotiating loan terms
  • Assessing loan applications in accordance with established procedures
  • Coordinating beneficiary claims with the indemnification department
  • Participating in special projects
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lending, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • A recognized accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA) or CFA certification
  • Excellent analytical, synthesizing, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with the commercial lending industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Solid organizational, negotiation, attention to detail, autonomy, and initiative
  • Bilingualism (English and French)
