Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Copper & Zinc Markets team as an early-career professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop short and long-term market outlooks for copper & zinc, focusing on North America, through primary research and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Expand CRU's profile and industry network in the North American region by engaging with clients, attending conferences, and promoting content through various channels.
  • Contribute to written reports, presentations, and market-leading insights across the Copper & Zinc team's products.
  • Work collaboratively with the global analyst team to build a comprehensive and transparent coverage of the base metals market.

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong academic background in economics, political economy, financial analysis, or mining industry-related fields, with a keen interest in developing their understanding of base metals markets and macro-economic demand drivers.

Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a numerate discipline, such as Economics or Engineering. Post-graduate qualifications and specialized training are advantageous.
  • Ability to effectively research from primary and secondary sources, analyze data, and identify trends and key drivers.
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, ensuring accurate and well-presented work with good writing skills.
  • Natural inclination to collaborate and work supportively in a diverse and international team.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to build, maintain, and grow an effective network and understand client value.

As a global company, we operate across time zones, and some international business travel will be required.
