Business Development Manager

This outside sales account executive will be an accomplished, leasing savvy individual with experience in vehicle and equipment leasing who can easily evaluate industry needs and recognize corresponding sales opportunities.

As a key member of the EQUIPMENT CAPITAL CORP team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors, identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, and working closely with the Senior Credit Manager to optimize each sale opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and maintain current knowledge of related markets and industry trends
  • Act as primary contact for negotiations with customers and vendors
  • Plan, organize, and conduct special events to promote company services in specific markets
  • Work directly with the Senior Credit Manager to provide timely and accommodating customer service
  • Display professional accountability and work cooperatively within the sales division
  • Contribute to the development of the company by innovating creative strategies for discussion and approval
  • Work with company management to develop and recommend marketing and expansion strategies for Western Canada

Requirements:

  • Related experience in vehicle and equipment leasing
  • Strong people skills and ability to build and maintain rapport
  • Organizational and business acumen to undertake account maintenance and development
  • Ability to think on your feet and get the deal done
  • Confident, presentable, customer-friendly image and sales passion
