Your new position

In the role of Lead Cost Estimator, you will report directly to the Chief Estimator and be responsible for preparing and submitting cost estimates. This position plays a vital role in the organization by bidding on various projects and transitioning successful bids to the project management team. You will primarily collaborate with the estimating team, Chief Estimator, Vice President of Estimating, and Project Coordinators, focusing on project pursuit and acquisition. Effective coordination and communication with operational staff are essential to gather feedback from ongoing projects and to inform the estimate creation process. You will also engage with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, maintaining the highest level of professionalism during these interactions.

What you will need to thrive
  1. Proficient knowledge of Programs/Software – Heavy Bid and Heavy Job (HCSS)
  2. Expertise in conducting precise quantity takeoffs for the following categories of work:
    1. Large-scale excavations
    2. Detailed excavations
    3. Deep utilities
    4. Shallow utilities
    5. Flatworks
    6. Earthworks (cut-to-fill, road cross-sections, ditch grading, retaining walls, etc.)
    7. Miscellaneous works
