Job Title: Senior Java AWS Developer

Location: Remote across Canada (EST hours)

Job Summary:

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java AWS Developer to lead the development of backend systems and database integrations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java, SpringBoot, AWS, REDSHIFT, ETL pipelines, SQL/NoSQL, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Docker.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Secure Personal Data: Ensure compliance with government regulations by handling data requests, queuing, purging, and scanning.

  • Back-end Java Development: Work extensively with back-end Java development and deployment on AWS.

  • ETL Pipelines and RedShift: Build out ETL pipelines and utilize RedShift.

  • AWS and SQL/NoSQL: Experience with AWS, SQL/NoSQL, and ability to navigate and deploy on AWS, including EC2.

  • CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kubeflow, and KALE, as well as knowledge of Jenkins and Docker.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java: Proficiency in Java, including design patterns and SOLID principles.

  • Experience with AWS: Experience with AWS, SQL/NoSQL, and ability to navigate and deploy on AWS, including EC2.

  • CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kubeflow, and KALE, as well as knowledge of Jenkins and Docker.

  • 100% Focus on Back-end Java Development: 100% focus on back-end Java development.
