The City of Ottawa's Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced arts program specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing arts programs in a specialized arts venue.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop arts programs for a specialized arts venue, including theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and/or media arts
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of arts programs, including administration and responding to public inquiries
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the success of arts programs and events
- Develop and implement training programs for instructors and volunteers
- Completion of college or university arts-related studies program and/or practicing in one of the following disciplines: music, dance, theatre, visual arts, literary arts, media arts, or arts education
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
- AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
- Excellent knowledge of interpretive techniques and designing programs in related disciplines
- Strong knowledge of developing training programs for instructors and/or volunteers
- A dynamic and supportive work environment
