Job Summary:The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for delivering occupational health services and programs, ensuring compliance with legislation, and providing primary care and health assessments. This role requires a strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Human Rights Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act, and AODA.
Key Responsibilities:- Support a healthy and safe work environment for all employees
- Provide health assessments and support for employees with occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries
- Collaborate with leadership and employees to develop modified work plans
- Manage and implement surveillance programs to ensure compliance with legislation
- Provide education and support for employees on workplace health and safety
- Participate in the development and evaluation of education materials
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and best practices in occupational health
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing with certification in Occupational Health Nursing Canada (COHN(C)) within 2 years
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
