Job Summary

Altum Health, a department within the University Health Network, is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will work primarily within specialty programs, including neurology, mental health, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Your expertise in treating acute and chronic conditions, as well as your experience with work-related injuries, chronic pain, and return to work planning, will be invaluable in supporting our clients' recovery and return to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services to clients with work-related injuries, chronic pain, and other conditions, utilizing a combination of physical and psychosocial interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide education to clients and their families on injury prevention, management, and return to work strategies.
  • Participate in outcomes data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.

Requirements

  • University degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in treating clients with work-related injuries, MVA, and/or experience in the third-party healthcare system.
  • Experience working with mental health programs and return to work planning skills are an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
