We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Advisor to join our IGNIT3 Project team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the Increasing Gains in Nutrition through Integration, Education, Evaluation, and Empowerment (IGNIT3) Project in collaboration with SickKids Centre for Global Child Health and WaterAid Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and interpret findings from routine monitoring and research to inform project decisions.
- Coordinate technical advice provision by our Global Technical Services (GTS) Unit or external experts to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
- Assess and monitor the project team's technical capacity and resource needs to ensure effective project implementation.
- Quality assure project management activities, including consultant selection and scope of work, to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Support the design, implementation, and knowledge exchange of research studies to drive project impact.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge translation documents and peer-reviewed publications to share project findings.
- Coordinate quality assurance/technical review of knowledge products to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Disseminate our work through representation, publications, and policy advocacy to maximize project impact.
- Postgraduate level degree in nutrition or public health, or a relevant discipline with significant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in nutrition, public health, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience working in programs related to child survival, health and nutrition, maternal health and nutrition, and/or adolescent health and nutrition.
- Understanding of health systems and girls' and women's health and equity issues.
- International development experience, preferably in low- and middle-income countries.
- Experience with gender-responsive program design and implementation is an asset.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
