Nutrition International is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Technical Advisor to join the IGNIT3 Project team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of the Increasing Gains in Nutrition through Integration, Education, Evaluation, and Empowerment (IGNIT3) Project in collaboration with SickKids Centre for Global Child Health and WaterAid Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and coordination for the IGNIT3 Project.
  • Analyze and interpret findings from routine monitoring and research.
  • Coordinate technical advice provision by GTS or external experts.
  • Assess and monitor the project team's technical capacity and resource needs.
  • Quality assure project management activities, including consultant selection and scope of work.
  • Support design, implementation, and knowledge exchange of research studies.
  • Troubleshoot and recommend corrective actions, leveraging internal NI expertise.
  • Contribute to knowledge translation documents and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Coordinate quality assurance/technical review of knowledge products.
  • Disseminate NI's work through representation, publications, and policy advocacy.
About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a postgraduate level degree in nutrition or public health, or a relevant discipline with significant experience. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in nutrition, public health, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience working in programs related to child survival, health and nutrition, maternal health and nutrition, and/or adolescent health and nutrition.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in quantitative and qualitative research, an understanding of health systems and girls' and women's health and equity issues, and international development experience, preferably in low- and middle-income countries. Experience with gender-responsive program design and implementation is an asset.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in written and spoken English, with strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to travel internationally for up to 40 days per year is required.
