PCL Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Communications Student to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. As a Communications Student, you will play a key role in supporting our communications efforts and contributing to the development of engaging content for our internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Assist in writing and editing a range of communications products, including articles, blog posts, and social media content.
  • Research and Interviews: Conduct research and interviews to gather information for feature stories and other content pieces.
  • Graphic Design: Assist in developing branded internal communications using graphic design platforms, such as posters, brochures, and infographics.
  • Video Production: Collaborate with our communications specialist and events planner to develop videos on various topics.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure that all written content meets high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Project Management: Effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Working towards a degree or diploma in a communications-related field (communications, public relations, marketing, etc.).
  • Skills: Strong written communication and collaboration skills, competency with Microsoft Office products, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience: Knowledge of social media platforms and the ability to tailor content to each platform as required.
