Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement community initiatives that promote social justice and address the needs of low-income communities
  • Build and maintain relationships with community agencies, organizations, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and coordination
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging issues and develop evidence-based solutions
  • Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and educational materials to build the capacity of community members and organizations
  • Work with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to develop and implement law reform initiatives
  • Participate in inter-clinic groups and contribute to the development of Ontario-wide and Canada-wide initiatives
  • Prepare reports and evaluations to measure the impact and effectiveness of community initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years of experience working with community-based organizations
  • Proven skills in community engagement, outreach, partnership development, and group facilitation
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations and equity-seeking groups
  • Strong knowledge of community services in Ottawa and the needs of low-income communities
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders
