Aviation Machinist Specialist

At Pacific Support Equipment Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Airframe and Powerplant Machinist to join our team.
About the RoleWe offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits including dental and healthcare plans.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work in the aviation manufacturing industry. As an Airframe and Powerplant Machinist, you will be responsible for:
- Computing dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
- Measuring and laying out work pieces in preparation for assembly
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
- Repairing machine tools and parts
- Saving time and improving efficiency by setting up and adjusting production machinery/tools
- Fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Maintaining, repairing, and calibrating precision measuring instruments
- Documenting and reporting deviations from specifications and tolerances
- Maintaining inspection records and completing inspection reports
- Verifying dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Setting up and operating conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of experience as a machinist in the aviation/aerospace manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of measuring tools, tool and die fabrication, and precision measurement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
