Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Ridge Vapes. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
- Scan Items: Effectively scan products, manage inventory, and maintain a high level of product knowledge.
- Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, restock shelves, and ensure a visually appealing store display.
- Support for Persons with Disabilities: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provide mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Support for Youths: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth, empowering the next generation of leaders.
- Support for Indigenous People: Provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting cultural understanding and reconciliation.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced retail environment, standing for extended periods, and maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
