About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Cottonwood Esso. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Payments: Handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Suggestive Selling: Provide customers with product recommendations and promotions to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  • Greet Customers: Welcome customers and provide a positive first impression of our store.
  • Wrap or Place Merchandise in Bags: Ensure that customer purchases are properly packaged and prepared for take-away.
  • Provide Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor Entrances and Exits: Ensure that all entrances and exits are secure and that customers are aware of our store policies.
  • Work Term and Hours: This is a permanent position with a typical work schedule of 30-40 hours per week.
