About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Cottonwood Esso. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Transactions: Handle customer transactions, including processing payments, making change, and providing receipts.
  • Suggestive Selling: Offer customers product recommendations and promotions to increase sales and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning the counter area.
  • Greet Customers: Welcome customers, respond to their needs, and provide assistance as required.
  • Wrap or Place Merchandise in Bags: Ensure that customer purchases are properly wrapped or placed in bags for easy transportation.
  • Provide Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide a positive shopping experience.
  • Monitor Entrances and Exits: Maintain a secure store environment by monitoring entrances and exits, and requesting proof of payment when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of retail sales experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
