Treatment Support Specialist

Job Opportunity
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Woodland Wellness Centre is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Treatment Support Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome participants to the Centre and conduct admission processes.
- Supervise and direct participants as required, following WWC policies and procedures.
- Support participants in their homework and activities.
- Coordinate fire drills and facilitate evacuation drills as needed.
- Maintain sidewalks in the absence of maintenance staff.
- Be open to supporting participants in First Nations cultural and non-cultural activities.
- Monitor and document participant-administered medications and personal belongings.
- Transport participants to appointments, activities, and meetings.
- Report and record critical incidents according to Centre policies and procedures.
- Maintain daily activity logs, communication books, and shift-change reports.
- Prepare participant-related forms and ensure all forms are completed.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge, willingness, and understanding of First Nations customs and traditions is an asset.
- Lifestyle choices including sobriety and abstinence from drugs and gaming consistent with the role will be a strong asset.
- Previous experience working in a First Nations health or treatment center environment is considered an asset.
- Effective verbal and writing communication skills.
- A positive and professional approach towards participants, fellow staff, and the public.
- Problem-solving/critical thinking skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and own a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory and recent Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and SGI Driver's Abstract.
