Senior Culinary Specialist

Job Summary:
ATCO Frontec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our kitchen team at the Jansen Discovery Lodge in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all meal preparation is organized and completed to the highest standard, with a focus on quality, presentation, and food safety.
- Assist in the management of food inventory, including ordering, stocking, and minimizing waste.
- Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes, ensuring dishes are cooked to the correct temperature and texture.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
- Operate food services equipment safely and efficiently, following established policies and procedures.
- Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food, work areas, and equipment.
- Record and track food preparation, storage, and disposal, as well as maintain accurate inventory records.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer requests and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve culinary goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in culinary arts or a related field.
- Valid food safety certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook or culinary specialist in a similar environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
