Culinary Preparation Specialist

ATCO Frontec is looking for a Culinary Preparation Specialist to join our team. The Culinary Preparation Specialist plays a vital role in the initial stages of food preparation and is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for all kitchen utensils and equipment.
This position operates on a rotation schedule, with shifts that vary in length. Compensation is based on an hourly wage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of salad bar components, including basic food preparation and portion control.
- Ensure that all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and serving dishes are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and meet the required standards.
- Demonstrate creativity in crafting salads and sandwiches, including custom-made specialty options.
- Efficiently produce a high volume of salad and sandwich items to meet demand.
- Oversee the stocking of food service areas, focusing on quality, presentation, adequate inventory levels, and minimizing waste.
- Manage the daily preparation, handling, storage, rotation, and serving of all salad and sandwich items to fulfill kitchen requirements.
- Prepare salads and sandwiches according to specified guidelines in quantities sufficient for service.
- Provide assistance in other kitchen areas during food production as necessary.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols in food handling and equipment usage.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid food safety certification.
- Experience in a similar role as a Culinary Preparation Specialist.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Capable of performing well under pressure.
