Senior Culinary Specialist

Job Summary:
ATCO Frontec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our kitchen team at the Jansen Discovery Lodge in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all meal preparation is organized and completed to the highest standard, with a focus on quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the management of food inventory, including ordering, stocking, and minimizing waste.
- Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes, ensuring food is cooked to the correct temperature and for the correct length of time.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following established policies and procedures.
- Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food, work areas, and equipment.
- Record and track food preparation, storage, and disposal, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve culinary goals and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Requirements:
- Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in culinary arts is considered an asset.
- Valid food safety certification is required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a senior cook or culinary specialist in a similar industry.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a high-stress environment.
