Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Charlotte Birchard Centres of Early Learning. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and organizing the play area, preparing snacks, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children.
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Support children with special needs, including those with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with the early childhood education team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the childcare centre.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations and maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
Requirements:
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.
