Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Charlotte Birchard Centres of Early Learning. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes developing and implementing child-care programs, maintaining daycare equipment, and engaging children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Support early childhood educators in keeping records and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations.
Requirements:
  • First Aid Certificate

Working Conditions:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work in a fast-paced childcare environment, interacting with children, parents, and staff. The successful candidate will be required to work a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, and will be expected to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the workday.
