Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Indian Cuisine Cook to join our team at THE GURU FINE INDIAN CUISINE (2289833 Ontario Inc.).

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas.
  • Recruit and hire staff.
  • Organize buffets and banquets.
  • Manage kitchen operations.
Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is crucial. We require our staff to be able to handle heavy loads, work in a standing position for extended periods, and be flexible with their work schedule.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
