  • Job Summary

The Guru Fine Indian Cuisine is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support where necessary.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Recruit and hire staff as needed.
  • Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring high standards of presentation and service.
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
